Moodboard: glazed terracotta tiles in orange and brown, green terrazzo, beige plaster, fluted glass, walnut veneer, copper and black metal samples.

Warm clay, cool stone

A small bathroom, six and a half feet wide, rebuilt around one window onto the garden. Hand-glazed terracotta tiles wrap the walls in two tones, orange by the vanity and deep brown in the shower, so the room feels warm even on grey mornings.

Green terrazzo runs across the floor and folds up into the basin, tying the room to the planting outside. Walnut, brushed copper and fluted glass are the only other materials, repeated so nothing competes.

Axonometric

The walnut vanity is built to measure: 49.5 inches wide, with the terrazzo basin set into the cabinet and an open shelf below for towels.

Two drawers run the full depth and open with an integrated finger pull, so no handles break the grain. Try it below.
